Really works!
This product does everything it claims. It clears up acne gently and moisturizes your skin at the same time. It also moisturizes enough so you don't have to use another moisturizer afterwards.I used to use Proactiv and I have really oily skin that dries out easily if I use too harsh of products. I find I have to have a delicate balance of acne clearing ingredients and moisturizers otherwise I have either really oily or really dry skin.Before using this product along with the Power Foam Wash has made my skin clearer, smoother and softer then I ever saw it while using Proactiv or any of the other systems I have tried. I love the tingling sensation I get after using this and how light it is on my skin. I went from having a bunch of zits on my forehead to very small if any zits on my forehead. Gentle, but effective
My skin isn't completely covered in pimples, but I am always breaking out, including those deep, painful ones. I got super diligent about my skincare a few months ago because I was tired of being in my mid-twenties with the skin of a teenager. I tried Proactiv, but I was left with skin that was red, flaky, irritated, and STILL breaking out. Not exactly a great combination.When I first tried this product, I have to admit that I was skeptical because everything else on the market seems to operate under the assumption that it has to be harsh to work. I am in my mid 40's, so my acne is a spot here and there. I've tried other products, but Neutrogena's On-the-Spot Acne Treatment, Vanishing Formula, has worked the best for me. Best Over the Counter Acne Product Money Can Buy
I've tried many over the counter and prescription acne products, and this one is definitely most effective for me. It is a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide solution which is actually more effective than the 10% solutions and is far less irritating. It's name is "On-the-Spot," but my dermatologist instructed me to use is all over as a preventative measure, as it is relatively gentle compared to some other treatments. Just use a moisturizer with sunscreen after applying it. As with ALL benzoyl peroxide treatments, there is a risk of bleaching to clothing. I've noticed that it really only bleaches lighter colors, such as pastels and some grays, but I've never had it bleach anything with bold colors such as black, navy, gold, etc.

Can't live without it, no more shiny red nose
A note about my skin-type: I am a 30s very pale-skinned female with extremely oily skin. The pale-skin reference is important, because this is a white cream, and when it dries it does provide a thin matte white layer of coverage. smells sooo good
i've had acne since the onset of puberty. it has always been pretty crazy and many dermatologists recommended that i take pills. my doctor forced me to try Obaji and i've been using it for the past two years. the toner is the most important part of the system, in fact, at this point, it's the only part i use. as a chemist and a future dermatologist, i've now found out that the salicyclic acid is key and any products with a high concentration of it would produce the same results. you won't find these products in drugstores but you can definitely order them on amazon. this product overall smells absolutely amazing and makes my pores SOOOO tiny after a hot shower or after having my pores cleaned professionally. minimal redness and drys very quickly. you only need a little bit so don't overdo it.

I'm hooked!
I have been using this product for about 3 weeks and literally have not had a single pimple the entire time. I was formerly using a tea tree face wash, which did seem to help but was nowhere near as effective as this stuff. I have also tried salicylic spot treatment but that really only worked after a breakout had already begun whereas this stuff seems more preventative. i generally have oily skin that has scarring and these seemed to be my trouble areas. in conjunction with this product I would super-highly recommend getting the clarisonic Mia or the regular one if you can afford it! Since this acid works as a beta hydroxy and I use an alpha hydroxy facewash with the clarisonic my skin is unbelieveably better: the scarring is diminished and my skin tone is even, woohoo!

Ok I am actually going to view the entire system on the Obagi cleanser so look for that review as well. First, let me say I know the difference between a seller rating and a product review. Worked BETTER than Proactiv!!
First off I want to explain that I have had terrible acne off and on (mostly on though) for the past 8 years. I had to be put on Accutane my sophmore year for 6 months in high school and then again my freshman year of college for another 3 months. I only started breaking out with acne in my early thirties. After trying the Loreal adult acne system for 2 months & Proactiv for 6 months with minimal results, I decided to give this a try. Yes, it made my skin very dry the first few weeks but I used a moisturizer over it kept using it and got fantastic results. I had the hard, large painful nodules on my face and this not only cleared them but I don't even break out anymore. One kit lasted me 6 months and my skin is soft & smooth. Love it!
I love this product! It will shrink the size and redness of acne in one day. I first bought it to treat new spots, and it worked so well I now use it everyday as my regular acne treatment. I have always had moderate acne, but I haven't had a single breakout since I started using this product. I've tried everything, including Proactive, but all of the other products were too harsh. It did dry out my skin a little, but not nearly as much as other products I've tried. I know it's only supposed to be used to treat spots, but I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good acne medication.
